Operations & observability

Monitor performance, secure access, and recover from incidents

Pixetric includes the tooling you need to run Postgres in production without stitching dashboards together.

Metrics and alerts

  • Live dashboards show CPU, memory, connections, and query latency for every branch.
  • Slow query capture records plans above your threshold (default 500 ms) and suggests indexes.
  • Alert policies let you send notifications to Slack, PagerDuty, or webhooks when latency or errors spike.

Configure alerts from Monitoring → Alerts and choose which branches and metrics you want to watch.

Backups & recovery

  • Continuous WAL archiving enables point-in-time recovery down to one second.
  • Nightly snapshots are stored across three availability zones.
  • Trigger an on-demand snapshot from the branch drawer before risky deployments.

To recover, open Backups, pick the snapshot or timestamp, and restore into an existing or new branch. Pixetric handles the replay automatically.

Security guardrails

  • TLS is enforced on every connection and data at rest is encrypted with customer-specific keys.
  • Invite teammates with SSO/SAML and assign fine-grained roles. Require MFA for privileged roles.
  • Audit logs capture every UI, API, and automation action and can be exported to your SIEM.

Regional replicas

Add read replicas near your users from the Replicas tab. Replicas stay in sync via physical replication and can be promoted if a region fails.

Pre-launch checklist

  1. Configure alert policies for latency, storage, and connection saturation.
  2. Enable SSO and enforce MFA for maintainers.
  3. Run a recovery drill using point-in-time restore.
  4. Define branch policies for production to limit destructive commands.

With these guardrails in place, Pixetric becomes the always-on database platform for your product teams.
